DONATIONS HELP US DO MORE

November 20, 2025 – When someone earns new skills, completes a credential, or takes a step toward a stable career, the impact ripples out — families grow stronger, businesses stay competitive, and communities thrive.

“Every time someone learns new skills or completes a credential, it strengthens an entire network,” said Lisa Romine, CEO of SkillSource. “Donations help us fill the gaps that public funding can’t always cover, and that support makes a measurable difference.”

For more than 40 years, SkillSource has supported people of all ages across North Central Washington as they earn credentials, gain experience, and build toward long-term stability. Grant funding covers a lot, but it doesn’t cover everything. Donations help close those gaps.

Contributions provide essentials like work clothing, tools, transportation, testing fees, and training costs. These resources help career seekers move into fields such as healthcare, advanced manufacturing, construction, clean energy, and the trades.

The impact is personal and immediate.
“I can’t imagine how much harder it would have been without the help I got,” said Charlie, a SkillSource participant who completed her nursing degree while raising three children. “The support changed everything for me.”

A New Way to Support: Giving Tuesday

Ahead of Giving Tuesday, SkillSource has launched a new donation page to make it easier for community members to support this work directly. Every contribution — large or small — helps someone take their next step.

Donations can be made at skillsource.org/donate.
