Ethics and Safety in AI Integration
August 2026 – Organizations across North Central Washington are exploring and integrating AI tools and technology into the workplace. As adoption increases, so does the need for collaboration, leadership, and ongoing opportunities to engage in experimentation and to learn best practices from one another.
Educators, businesses, students and community members from across the state gathered at this year’s AI Expo organized by NCW Tech Alliance. SkillSource’s Associate Director for Systems and Operations, Aaron Parrott participated in a panel discussion – “Leading Through Tech Transformation” – with representatives from healthcare (Confluence), public utilities (Chelan PUD), local government (City of Moses Lake), and education (Quincy School District). The conversation focused on how each of our organizations are approaching AI in our work, navigating change management and expectations, and thinking about where AI could create new possibilities across North Central Washington.

AI technology is prompting workers and employers to quickly adapt to a changing workplace. We are grateful to NCW Tech Alliance for creating the space with the AI Expo to hold essential discussions that keep the people who live and work here at the center of those changes.
